Nella lista nera delle autorità erano finiti anche due italiani, Antonio Tricarico ed Elena Gerebizza di Crbm/Manitese. "Troppo tardi" - commentano le Ong che all'apertura del contro-forum di Batam, isoletta indonesiana a poche miglia da Singapore, avevano lanciato il loro boicottaggio agli incontri di BM e FMI. Tra le principali questioni in agenda negli incontri delle due istituzioni la revisione delle quote di potere dei Paesi membri del FMI: il sistema della distribuzione dei voti non permette ai Paesi in via di sviluppo di avere voce in seno all'istituzione.

Reporters Without Borders has warned against the risk of abuse of the amendment. Cyber-criminals are liable for jail terms of up to three years.
