Irakilaisten turvapaikanhakijoiden määrä kasvoi viime vuonna 77 prosentilla edelliseen vuoteen verrattuna, selviää YK:n pakolaisjärjestön UNHCR:n tilastosta. Euroopasta, Yhdysvalloista ja muista länsimaista turvapaikkaa haki yhteensä 22 200 irakilaista.
