Kahden seuraavan vuoden aikana Suomen koululaiset antavat tuntuvan panoksensa Beninin lapsikaupan ja lapsityön vastaisiin ohjelmiin.

Today, Ms. Mahinou has enrolled all of her girls in school along with her boys. This sea change in her attitude is largely due to a programme promoting girls’ education called Education and Community, in her village in Benin.

Hokkanen on mukana ohjelmassa, jonka tavoitteena on demokraattisen hallinnon vahvistaminen. Käytännössä tämä merkitsee erityisesti parlamentin aseman tukemista.
