"Il mondo di oggi è più ricco di quello di 10 anni fa e le risorse alimentari sono più abbondanti - ha detto Diouf - ma manca la volontà politica di mobilitare queste risorse in favore degli affamati". Preoccupante la situazione dell'Africa in particolare quella sub-Sahariana. Intanto a pochi giorni dal summit a Roma dei capi di stato per il 32° Comitato per la Sicurezza Alimentare della FAO (2-4 novembre), sono in corso le azioni dello Special Forum FAO della società civile.
