21.11.2007 Named Kindle, Amazon’s electronic book device, can hold as many as 200 titles from the list of best-sellers. Not bigger than a paperback novel and lighter, the device is wireless, allowing the books to be downloaded without plugging the reader into a computer.

08.11.2007 “Hanno tolto la luce a Casablanca”. Poche righe, giunte agli amici alcune ore fa. Al di là del linguaggio colloquiale e diretto significa che la redazione del mensile Casablanca non è più rifornita di energia elettrica. E’ questa solo l’ultima conseguenza di una serie di difficoltà finanziare che stanno minando l’esistenza stessa del mensile fondato solo l’anno scorso dai giornalisti Riccardo Orioles e Graziella Proto. Negli ultimi mesi vari sono stati gli atti di solidarietà alla redazione, soprattutto dopo il furto del computer principale. Una solidarietà che cerca di coinvolgere quanti più attori possibili e propone di sottoscrivere abbonamenti alla rivista, così da sostenerla finanziariamente e diffonderne le inchieste antimafia. di Alessio Di Florio
