The Third International Women's Peace Conference will be held on 10th to 15 July 2007 at Dallas, Texas, USA. It is being organised by Peacemakers Incorporated, a Texas non-profit organization that sponsors international women's conferences on peace.

In November 2006, a High-level Panel recommended the establishment of an independent women-specific agency with a minimum budget of $1 billion US. Women's organisations and other groups from the civil society held a global day of action on 20th June, 2007 and urged their respective Governments, UN Permanent Missions and Ambassadors to endorse and push for the GEA recommendations.
