Madhya Pradesh is forming a network of youth, called the Red Ribbon Clubs, to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS as part of the state’s strategy to overcome the deadly disease that has affected 1,806 people so far.

Maailman terveysjärjestön mukaan työ on kuitenkin vasta alussa, sillä maailman 36 miljoonasta hiv/aidsia sairastavasta ihmisestä 95 prosenttia asuu kehitysmaissa, joilla on suuria vaikeuksia hoidon järjestämisessä.
