26.04.2007 Borneo Ecology and Biodiversity Conservation Institute (BEBSic) mengeluarkan surat penolakan pendanaan Chevron dan Total pada Pertemuan Nasional Pendidikan Lingkungan Hidup 2007 yang akan datang.

26.04.2007 Setelah menjalani persidangan selama 21 bulan, akhirnya pada 24 April 2007 Pengadilan Negeri Manado memvonis bebas PT Newmont Minahasa Raya dan Presiden Direkturnya, Richard B Ness. WALHI, ICEL, dan JATAM menengarai vonis ini sarat kejanggalan.

20.04.2007 Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), on April 18, 2007, released its latest publication entitled, 'Sewage Canal: How to Clean the Yamuna'. CSE also premiered a 32-minute video on the subject, 'Faecal Attraction: Political Economy of Defecation', which explodes various myths about river cleaning. At the release function, Sunita Narain,director CSE, pointed out that money and technology cannot revive the Yamuna, and other approaches would have to be adopted.

10.04.2007 WALHI, Indonesia's largest environment group, lodged a civil lawsuit against PT Newmont Minahasa Raya and related parties in the South Jakarta Court. The case is based on negligence in the ocean disposal of mine waste, which caused environmental damage at Buyat Beach village, North Sulawesi.
