Le 7 Ong (Alisei, Aispo, Cesvi, Coopi, Cosv, Gvc, Intersos) dell'Associazione Ong italiane che operano in Afghanistan che costantemente si coordinano nell'ambito del gruppo "Cooperazione in contesti di guerra" confermano la necessità che sia tenuta distinta l'azione militare da quella civile e umanitaria nel paese. Le Ong operano infatti da sempre in piena autonomia e indipendenza, con proprie finalità e identità. "Chiediamo che sia fatta la massima chiarezza sul mandato dell'Isaf - afferma Sergio Marelli, presidente Associazione Ong italiane - e sulle sue regole di ingaggio al fine di assicurare che la legittima presenza multilaterale di stabilizzazione e sicurezza rimanga tale e non si trasformi in alcun caso in operazione di guerra".
