23.06.2005 Domenica 5 giugno durante l'assemblea per promuovere le iniziative di lotta contro la costruzione del ponte si è costituita la RETENOPONTE2005. All'assemblea hanno partecipato molte realtà di base sindacaliste e associazionistiche, partiti, movimenti e singoli cittadini. Dopo una intensa discussione sulle iniziative e sulle manifestazioni da costruire, è stata proposta una piattaforma di lavoro e di interventi sul territorio. Questa potrebbe essere l'ultima estate prima dell'apertura dei cantieri. E' importante, quindi, fermarli adesso. Per questo la Rete si fa promotrice di un percorso di iniziative e mobilitazioni che culmineranno con una manifestazione il 23 luglio per le strade di Faro e con il quarto corteo nazionale contro il ponte il 6 agosto per le strade del centro di Messina. La Rete invita tutte le realtà locali e nazionali che in questi anni hanno partecipato alla crescita del movimento contro il ponte nell'area dello stretto a contribuire fattivamente alla piena riuscita di questi appuntamenti.

Essa tendência vem se consolidando a cada ano. Em 2001 o IRS era de apenas 45,97%. Já em 2002 subiu para 53,85%. Nos dois anos seguintes evoluiu para 54,84% e 57,54%, respectivamente.
